ADB was the first building in the Philippines to be awarded a Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED) Gold rating by the U.S. Green Building Council for an existing structure. In an effort to promote sustainable development, ADB transformed its building into a green building by using efficient heating, ventilation, and solar power technology.
